About
In 2020, JA Paints 307 began as a simple hobby, nurtured by the support of two significant individuals in Joey's life. His passion for art led him to donate a piece to the first Gay Pride celebration in Rawlins, Wyoming, marking his entry into the community's creative scene. However, the loss of Laveda, Stephen's mother, who was both a close supporter and muse, deeply impacted Joey's journey. This loss sparked a desire for change, prompting Joey and his husband to move to Jacksonville, Florida.
In March 2023, a year after the move, JA Paints 307 LLC was officially formed, reflecting Joey's commitment to his craft and his community. By 2024, the studio had grown into a vital part of Joey's life, fostering connections within Jacksonville's LGBTIQA community, including partnerships with organizations like COLORS Jax Resource Center.
Looking ahead to the fall of 2024, JA Paints 307 is poised to launch Sip and Pour Paint events, blending creativity and community in a welcoming space. Joey's journey has evolved from a hobby into a mission, determined to explore new adventures and continue supporting the LGBTIQA community in Jacksonville, Florida.
